TH-S is a strong cationic medium with higher dynamic loading at high flow rates compared to TA-IEX FF. The matrix used in this medium is highly cross-linked rigid agarose, which can be adapted to high-flow rate operation, and is physically and chemically stable. In the purification and cleaning and regeneration process, the medium's loading and performance are not affected by the external buffer, which makes it more suitable for large-scale industrialized production.
